How Your Child can Participate in Healthy Hearts
Since Healthy Hearts is a school-based program, your
child’s teacher at school must register to use the module, and then add the
students’ names to her/his class. Healthy Hearts
is designed for kids in 5th and 6th grades, but your child’s teacher can determine if its
appropriate for your child’s classroom.
If you would like to inform your child’s teacher about Healthy Hearts,
a letter has been prepared for you to send to the teacher that describes the
instructional module, and how the teacher can learn more about participating in
the program. Other information that might be of interest to the teacher is linked below.
Once the teacher registers and enters student names,
students will then be given an individual UserID and Password for Healthy Hearts,
that they can use to participate in Healthy Hearts at any computer that has
Internet access - – at home, at a friend or relative’s house, at the library,
at the computer lab at school, etc.
Healthy Hearts is a closed e-learning environment
(will not take children to other web sites outside of the HH module) that follows strict guidelines in accordance
with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 to protect the
privacy of all students who participate. To view our Privacy Policy, click here.
