Description of Log It

Log It encourages you to recall the physical activity in which you participated the last two days, and to recall the fruits and vegetables and drinks you consumed in the last two days. By logging in your physical activity (Activity Tracker) and diet (Diet Diary), we hope to assist you in better analyzing your health choices by reflecting on your behavior through the feedback from HH, and setting goals for better choices the following days. Your child can also use Log It each day, and will receive feedback and points for completing logs. Because we believe that children learn a great deal about meeting recommended goals for physical activity and nutrition by completed self-reports of their behavior, we encourage children to complete daily logs by randomly awarding prizes each week to those who complete at least 4 logs a week. The virtual hike also encourages them to complete daily logs so that they can complete the virtual hike and learn geography facts along the way!

Check out the Commit to Get Fit Contest to see how you and your child can participate in a family contest by submitting logs in Activity Tracker and Diet Diary.

In order to use Log It, you must be a registered parent or family member of a Healthy Hearts kid.
