Involving Parents We believe that it is imperative to involve parents in educating children about healthy attitudes and behaviors, particularly those related to physical activity, nutrition, and tobacco use. That’s why we have developed a section of Healthy Hearts just for parents so they can learn more about these important health issues, and so they can get involved by participating with their child. From the Parent Information page, parents can see parts of Healthy Hearts so that they can better understand what their child is doing and learning while participating in the online module. Additionally, parents can sign up to participate in the Commit to Get Fit Contest, which is a competition for classes to strive to complete the most physical activity logs in Activity Tracker and diet logs in Diet Diary over a three week period.
